Update 2/18/2019: We would like to remind everyone within the TBW community to call CPD at 614-645-4545 IMMEDIATELY for any possible shots fired you may hear within our community. Please see our section on Gun Safety, for more information on gun laws, gun safety, and what additional steps to take if/when you hear shots fired.
Updated 1/11/2019: We're starting with a concern that we have seen an increase in, in the last month. After looking at all of the information available to us, we cannot stress how important it is to keep calling CPD for every shots fired incident. We have good news in that there was an arrest made out of one of the shots fired calls. Because of that arrest, we were able to compare the 2 suspects and their addresses against other shots fired calls and we are pretty sure we have found the source of most, if not all of our shots fired calls. The bad news is, the 2 arrested suspects are both minors. Information listed in CPD Report #181040740 has led to us adding an address on Alexdon to our block watch's list of concerning addresses. We are asking that residents on Alexdon, Hubbardton, Tildon and Centennial, please remain on high alert for these two and call CPD at 614-645-4545 on any behavior that may seem suspicious and/or illegal.

Shots Fired or Fireworks?
Update 2/18/2019: Unfortunately during the months of June and July, as we near the 4th of July, many within the community like to set off fireworks. The sound of fireworks is often confused with shots fired, especially when heard only in the distance. When in doubt, call CPD at 614-645-4545 and immediately post to the TBW Facebook page so that other members can help confirm the source and location of each.
Please remember that fireworks, while beautiful and fun, can be dangerous and are often a source of anxiety for pets, wildlife, and veterans who live within our community. In addition, TBW community members have experienced fires, property damage and injuries as a result of improper handling of fireworks. If you want to share a little sparkle with your family during the holidays, please attend fireworks presentations presented by professionals, and only purchase firecrackers/sparklers that are legal within the State of Ohio, and the City of Columbus.
Please see our section on Gun Safety, for more information on gun laws, gun safety, and what additional steps to take if/when you hear shots fired.
Update 2/18/2019: Celebratory gunfire is illegal and will not be tolerated within the TBW community. We most commonly hear celebratory gunfire on the 4th of July and New Years Eve. If you hear shots fired for any reason, call CPD at 614-645-4545 and immediately post to the TBW Facebook page so that other members and CPD can help confirm the source and location. Please see our section on Gun Safety, for more information on gun laws, gun safety, and what additional steps to take if/when you hear shots fired.
